Job Description

Dewberry is currently looking for a Survey Crew Chief to perform a variety of tasks associated with land surveying and civil engineering in our Charlotte, NC office.

Responsibilities

    Field work associated with land surveying.
  • Perform Boundary, Topographic, Tree & Channel Surveys.
  • Assisting with survey computations and data collection as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of survey experience
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in Surveying is preferred
  • Able to operate Topcon Total Stations, Lieca GPS, static, RTK, RTN
  • Familiarity with NCDOT Electronic Field Book (EFB) data collection
  • Ability to shoot Topography
  • Ability to work remotely under rigorous conditions
  • Familiarity with construction plans and RW maps
  • Certified Survey Technician, Level II or III (CST) or ability to obtain within specified timeframe
  • Utility designating experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be reliable

Additional Requirements:

  • Have the ability to work out of town, flexible with work area
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrains.
  • Ability to repetitively stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes, in addition to ability to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces.
