Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Executive to join the Pavion team working out of our Wallingford, CT office. As an Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in driving our mission forward by connecting with existing and potential clients, providing them with tailored fire, security, and integration solutions. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and achieving sales targets.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Develop and execute a strong business plan: Utilize advanced selling skills such as qualifying prospects, lead generation, new business development, account penetration, strategic selling, conceptual selling, issues-based selling, consultative selling, negotiation, and closing contracts.
  • Identify target opportunities: Focus on capturing large customer sales from competitors where possible.
  • Serve as the key point of contact: Develop and nurture key relationships with customers, including end users, electrical and general contractors, real estate property managers and engineers/architects to grow business.
  • Read and understand bid documents: Interpret technical drawings and programming guides, relaying necessary information to the engineering, operations team, and leadership team.
  • Manage CRM data: Include accounts, contacts, and opportunities in the CRM system. Ensure the Sales Stages reflect accurate Estimated Revenue, Estimated Close Date, and Probability to win business.


Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the commercial development industry
  • 5+ years of experience establishing a client base: Proven successful history of relationship development, lead generation, and selling design concepts/ideas.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Knowledge of the competitive landscape: Demonstrated expertise in managing and expanding key accounts with a strong familiarity with key influencers in construction and corporate real estate within the Washington DC market.
  • Proven history of sales success: Experience identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Experience building a network of business relationships: Ability to create sales opportunities by working with A&D (Architecture & Design), real estate, and construction companies.
  • Innovative self-starter: Confidence and ability to represent Pavion professionally and ethically to gain high levels of confidence.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills: Strong meeting facilitation skills.
  • Ability to lead change: Handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment effectively.
