Description Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Application Engineer to join our security business unit. Primary Responsibilities: Completes of software installation, programming, debugging and testing of customer system Attends onsite project meetings Coordinates with the Lead Technician for onsite programming of systems Produces timely and detailed reports Builds positive relationships with clients Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Outlook, and Internet Explorer) and be familiar with various security systems operating software Security License (required by state of operation): Alarm Systems Installer Additional manufacture certifications for access control systems, communications systems, intrusion systems and surveillance systems as needed for products supported Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record Preferred Qualifications: Lenel Onguard, Software House, Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon and other security manufacture certifications Disclaimer: This job description should not be construed to imply that these requirements are the exclusive standards of the position.
