Research will focus on understanding the ecology of colonization resistance to Vancomycin Resistant Enterococcus (VRE) as well as mechanistic studies into genetics of colonization.

What You Will Do:

The Margolis lab is looking for a postdoctoral scientist with an interest in antibiotic resistance and/or microbial community ecology. We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in Microbiology, Ecology, Pharmacology, Bioinformatics or related field. Ideal candidates will have proven expertise in bacterial genomics, molecular techniques, antibiotic resistance and/or microbiome studies, as well as excellent communication skills. Individuals should have the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment to produce high-quality, publishable projects. Research will focus on understanding the ecology of colonization resistance to Vancomycin Resistant Enterococcus (VRE) as well as mechanistic studies into genetics of multidrug resistant organism colonization.
