Responsibilities and Duties

Harkcon, Inc. is looking for a Sr. Acquisition Specialist to support the CISA Cybersecurity Division (CSD). CSD leads the Nation's strategic and unified work to strengthen the security, resilience, and workforces of the cyber ecosystem to protect critical services. Senior Acquisition Specialist will support the procurement and acquisition functions and establish high-level contract strategy and implementation in support services to CSD. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Role:

  • Serve as a team lead and acquisition expert to a large team of 10+ people
  • Serve as sr. acquisition advisor for the govt client
  • Work alongside contracting officer representatives (CORs) in support of acquisition lifecycle management
  • Assist with establishing and developing standard acquisition templates for all types of contract support activities to allow for streamlined procurement development and planning activities.
  • Assist in establishing and updating a repository for contract artifacts, best practices, and SOPs.
  • Perform duties in support of acquisition planning and serve as the subject matter expert (SME) to advise and resolve any issues
  • Assist the client with start to finish acquisition lifecycle management support
  • Support the development of acquisition packages
  • Tracking the status of procurement activities

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of direct experience in federal acquisition/contract certification
  • 10+ years of experience managing or directing Acquisition Programs involving contract strategy and driving implementation of strategic contract opportunities
  • Possess an understanding of all federal contract types to include firm fixed price (FFP), time and materials (T&M), cost plus fixed fee (CPFF), etc.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience with GSA schedules
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance

  • Salary Range: $145,000-$200,000 to commensurate with experience, education, etc.
