Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Staff Action Specialist for the RTES, supporting the Army Division. The Safety and Environmental Coordinator will support the S&A team and mission in a first shift position within the Redstone Test Center Climatic Test Division (ECD).

LOCATION: Redstone Arsenal Huntsville, AL

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

    HS/Diploma or GED
  • Two-Four (2-4) years of experience directly related to: industrial, facility, and personnel safety and environmental programs; Army safety and environmental publications and regulations; and drafting policies and procedures from DoD, federal, state, and local government safety, and environmental regulations for application at the organization level.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants)
  • Must be able to work as a team member in a collaborative effort, taking initiative at times when direction is implicit.
  • Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook desired.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • BA/BS preferred.
  • Familiarity with Government financial tracking systems (CIMS), ATAAPS (Automated Time Attendance and Production System)
  • Familiarity with CostPoint (financial management software)
  • Professional written and oral communicator. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work well in a team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administrative Support:
    • Provide general administrative support as needed, including tasks such as creating purchase requests for office supplies.
    • Update the Division organizational chart and RTC (Redstone Test Center) division directory monthly.
    • Maintain an updated phone list for the team.
    • Manage the email distribution list.
  • Training and Records:
    • Track training records for team members and upload certifications into the ATEC (Army Training and Certification Tracking System).
  • Financial and Project Management:
    • Input Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) numbers for buyers into CostPoint (financial management software) and for Technical Coordinators (TCs) into Tracker (project management tool).
    • Prepare expense reports as needed for the Section Manager.
  • Timekeeping and Reporting:
    • Input Government employees' time into the ATAAPS (Automated Time Attendance and Production System), checking for any discrepancies or red flags. Also, act as a backup for other ECTD (Environmental and Component Test Directorate) ATAAPS timesheet reviewers.
  • Meetings and Interviews:
    • Attend the weekly conference call.
    • Set up interviews for contractors as needed.
  • Optional Role: 1CT Champ (One Connected Team):
    • 1CT champ for ASRI (AI Signal Research) and maintain team rosters.
