Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior ABMS BMC2 Test Engineer for the 96th Cyberspace Test Group, supporting the Astrion Air Force Division.

JOB DETAILS

LOCATION: Eglin AFB, FL

JOB STATUS: Full-time

TRAVEL: Able to travel to contractors' facilities, test sites, and other locations, CONUS and OCONUS, up to 20% of the time.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

    US Citizenship Required.
  • Experience with developmental and operational testing of Battle Management (BM), Command and Control (C2), Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and related systems.
  • Expertise with test design, test concepts and test methodologies
  • Experience interfacing with multiple stakeholders regarding project scope, status, schedules, and required documentation.
  • Effective oral and written communications skills, good interpersonal communications skills and be comfortable working in a team environment.
  • High level of self-initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Office 365 products to include Word, Excel PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Must be capable of traveling to TDY locations as needed.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Experience interfacing with A-Staff, Major Command, and Numbered Air Force personnel.
  • Experience with Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) systems and Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS).
  • Experience with Air Operations Centers (AOC), and lateral and subordinate operation centers (i.e. MOC).
  • Experience with Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD).
  • Experience with C2 systems.
  • Experience with Cloud architecture.
  • In-depth knowledge of DAFI 99-103, Capabilities-Based Test and Evaluation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic test guidance, advice, and expertise to internal 96 CTG personnel, supported program office personnel and senior leadership for test projects.
  • Provide detailed analysis of courses of action (COAs) for test projects, analyze and make recommendations for improvements and optimization of test projects to program offices.
  • Provide specific expertise on test design, test-influenced product design and test scheduling, cost, and options.
  • Provide expertise to test customers to optimize their utilization of test resources and improve their ability to provide complete functionality to fielded products.
  • technology and resource investments.
  • Research advanced capabilities and offer solutions to the customers' most complex and challenging problems.
  • Initiate and develop test requirements for and coordinate complex test projects including Command and Control system testing.
  • Support test engineers when interacting with System Program Offices, other military services, and development contractors.
  • Working knowledge of DOD INSTRUCTION 5000.89.
  • Working knowledge of adaptive acquisition framework, AGILE software development concepts and middle-tier acquisition pathway.
