Engine Technician - Shop

Holt CAT is the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the United States. We have a full-time, 1st shift Engine Technician - Shop position available at our Irving, Texas location. The hours of the position are Monday-Friday from 7 AM - 4 PM.

Job Description:

This position is responsible for providing high-quality teardown, inspection, and repairs of diesel engines (natural gas) in a shop environment, responding to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner, and ensuring maximum value for work performed.

Qualifications:

A qualified candidate must have the following skills or abilities:



  • Perform complex repairs correctly such as teardown, inspection, repairs; on natural gas and diesel engines in a shop environment.
  • Ability to be productive by working efficiently and effectively with a high energy level.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and able to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • GED or High School Diploma preferred
  • Must have a steady employment history
  • Ability to frequently reach, bend, walk, etc.
  • Must be able to lift 60lbs. approximately 15 times a day.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and results-oriented.
  • Excellent attendance is required.
  • Able to work overtime as needed to meet customer demand
  • Must have great leadership skills and be able to lead a team
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience
