Retail Sales Coordinator

Description
The Retail Sales Coordinator is responsible for coordinating with the outside sales team on the day-to-day activities pertaining to the sale of machines, attachments, and service agreements.

Essential Functions:


  • Develop customer-facing proposals at the request of Sales Representatives for Sales and RPOs of new and used machines and attachments, and Iron Pro (service agreement) opportunities

  • Leverage advanced understanding of sales operations to prepare the necessary documents and support the sales team in the sales process from quote through invoicing

  • Improve profitability, accuracy, and effective use of merchandising support

  • Assist sales operations with inventory management

  • Coordinate the financial structure of machine sales including credit release requests

  • Develops cross-departmental relationships throughout the organization to foster and support Legendary Customer Service

  • Provides input and recommendations for improvements in processes, communication, and technology

  • Requires regular and punctual employee attendance

  • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards

  • Performs other duties as assigned



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Advanced knowledge of Compact Construction Equipment

  • Basic knowledge of Earth Moving and Excavation Equipment

  • Knowledge of construction equipment sales industry

  • Knowledge of business accounting principles

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills

  • Advanced computer and related software applications skills

  • Advanced MS Office Excel and PowerPoint skills; Intermediate MS Word skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

  • Ability to interact with tact and courtesy and maintain a professional manner

  • The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing

  • The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences



Education and Experience:


  • Three years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience required, five or more years preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred



Supervisory Responsibilities:


  • None



Travel:


  • Overnight travel may be required occasionally for training purposes



Physical Requirements:


  • This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery and file cabinets

  • This role frequently communicates with others, and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  • Occasionally moves materials or equipment weighing up to 10 lbs

  • Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina

  • Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work



Work Environment:


  • This job is generally performed in a professional office environment

  • Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
