What You Will Do: With extensive experience in rail and bus systems, transit facilities, and civil and structure infrastructure, we provide planning, design, engineering, and management services to the transit and freight rail industries. We develop system plans and detailed final designs that move the nation!! Gannett Fleming has an amazing opportunity for an experienced Civil Project Engineer capable of supporting high profile transit and transportation related projects in Greater Los Angeles area and across Southern California. You will also have the responsibility of direct client enagement and management, functioning as the liaison with the client and multi-disciplinary project teams. You will be able to demonstrate your technical talents by designing civil improvements which includes roadway, drainage, utilities and site improvements supporting signature projects that connect communities. Work-Life Balance: You will be able to work remotely and take advantage of our flextime policy Inclusive and Equitable Workplace Culture: Culture of Learning: 100% tuition reimbursement and access to our comprehensive Learning Network Major duties and responsibilities include: Responsible for managing and delivering quality civil transportation projects on-time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client Lead and attend technical project coordination meetings Perform engineering design tasks for transportation and transit related projects from preliminary to final design Design development in accordance with the Scope of Work and local, state and federal criteria and requirements Demonstrated understanding of design criteria and requirements of local jurisdictions such as; Los Angeles Metro, City of Los Angeles, Caltrans and federal Railroad Standards. Actively manage task budgets and schedules Develop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages Have strong written and oral communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Prepare reports and make presentations Education \| Experience: Minimum Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Minimum of 5 years' progressive engineering experience possessing a broad knowledge and experience in civil design in the areas of transportation, transit and/or rail preferred In-depth familiarity with Micro Station and AutoCAD with experience with Civil 3D desired Company Overview: At Gannett Fleming, we believe in improving the lives of the people we serve.
