Brown and Caldwell is currently seeking a self-motivated process mechanical engineer to join our pumping system design team. In this new role, you will work with and be mentored by strong, nationally recognized, senior technical staff on various water, wastewater, and stormwater pumping system projects. Remote work is allowed although preference is to be located near one of our offices in Charlotte, Raleigh, Nashville or Atlanta. Job Expectations: In this technical role, you will be preparing engineering drawings, calculations, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), specifications, and technical reports for a variety of municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater pumping system projects as part of the Brown and Caldwell Design Services group. You will be expected to manage small to midsize design tasks as a process mechanical task lead on projects with support from Brown and Caldwell's subject matter experts. You will also be given the chance to mentor junior and entry level engineers. Other responsibilities for this position include occasional site visits during various project phases that may include tasks such as equipment evaluation, pump testing and troubleshooting, construction inspection and observations, and other types of field work. You will support projects both locally and nationally, but with a focus on Brown and Caldwell's eastern business region. Responsibilities:
