We are currently looking for a Analytical Chemist of Vitamins to join our growing team!

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop methods for analytical tests, equipment, chemical analyses, procedures meeting established standards and industry requirements.
  • Analyze test samples utilizing HPLC, UPLC, LC, and other appropriate instrumentation.
  • May assist in overseeing work conducted by Lab technician or assistants.
  • May assist in troubleshooting out of specification test results.
  • Will float between analytical department as needed to support lab staffing needs and meet client testing expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a BS in chemistry or equivalent.
  • Experience performing analytical or chemical testing on dietary supplements, vitamins, nutritional products, raw materials, bulk samples & finished products.
  • Knowledge of current CTFA/PCPC, AOAC, USP, and other industry standard methods and procedures.
  • Must be familiar with Agilent HPLC, UPLC, Chemstation, LC, GC, TLC, HP-TLC, Spectrophotometer, Titration, pH, conductivity and other chemical equipment, techniques and programs required for nutritional and vitamins assays/tests.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in an analytical laboratory. 3+ years of experience is preferred.
  • Computer literate. Be able to work with Microsoft programs such as word and excel, ability to utilize search engines, and create spreadsheets, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and to handle other communications/computer components
  • Potential exposure to odors, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, and microbiological pathogens
  • Noise level varies from quiet to loud
  • Temperature varies from hot to cold
  • Interactive and fast-paced team oriented tasks
  • Overnight Travel is required at the discretion of management
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Color vision and depth perception
