A Brief Overview Reporting to CHOP's SVP for Real Estate, Facilities, and Operations, and in collaboration with the direct reports to the SVP, this position has a focus towards supporting senior Facilities leadership with data production and analytics based in project planning, project management, real estate portfolio management, and operations oversight. Collects, distills, and presents coherent, consolidated, and detailed project data and information, and consistently and systematically provides reporting to departmental senior leaders to aid in their strategic oversight of activities throughout the organization.
What you will do
- Integration and analysis of departmental information: Integration of information of Facilities operating units for greater efficiency, effectiveness, for the tacking and management of Real Estate and Facilities related projects:
- Enhance the beneficial use of the current Facilities Informatics organization with the Facilities project management and Facilities Planning organizations.
- Enhance collaboration with Finance Business Partners while establishing independent data gathering, distillation, and reporting with input from Finance.
- Produce and maintain a departmental dashboard for reliance and consistent use of Facilities senior leadership.
- Data Analytics and Project Controls: Establish data collection and informatics production system to support effective development, planning, progress tracking, and delivery of projects within the Real Estate and Facilities organization, having the following key areas of focus:
- Project controls oversight and reporting
- Financial reporting of projects
- Estimating strategy and controls
- estimating vs budgeting
- Project cost comparisons, budget to estimate to actual.
- Cost trending
- Produces financial reports and analyses and presents to senior leadership of the department.
- Project planning schedule production
- forecast vs actual projects delivered, including progress tracking and reporting; reports that reflect same.
- Master program planning and project flows
- produces master project schedules for Facilities projects
- Supports capital projects oversight with production of reports for:
- Project development planning
- Project cost Estimate vs Approval vs Commitment vs Spending, and final cost reconciliations; produces reports to provide current cost status of all Facilities projects.
- Implementation status reporting
- Geographic locational tracking and distribution of projects throughout the enterprise
- Purchasing, Procurement & estimating activities: monitors and reports on same analytically
- Tracking of departmental budgetary financial stewardship initiatives
- Building Systems Operations (BSO)
- Facilities Maintenance
- Project Management
- Planning
- Operations Controls and project status reporting, aligned with strategic collaboration with senior leadership regarding:
- Collaborates on procurement strategy and data analytics regarding same
- Master planning integration with Real Estate and Facilities
- Board collaboration
- Leveraging the Facilities Communications organization to produce information that supports Board updates
- Planning, presentation, and reporting readiness
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree - Required
- Bachelor's Degree Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Statistics - Preferred
Experience Qualifications
- At least ten (10) years project estimating, project management, project scheduling - Preferred
- At least ten (10) years Experienced in use of various data analytics software associated with and supporting Project cost estimating, Construction project management and/or
Real estate portfolio management - Preferred - At least ten (10) years business analytics and project controls
- Preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity or proficiency in E-Builder, Smartsheet, Macro, Procure, or similar data management systems that support construction, and/or project development portfolios with a Owner-centric focus.
