Position Title: Shuttle Drivers
Business Unit: Parking and Transportation
Position Reports to: Parking Manager
Location: Crystal Mountain, Washington
Wage Range: $28.00 - 30.00 DOE
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Perform a daily pre/post trip inspection on the truck/trailer assigned to you. Must be able to complete level 1 maintenance on the vehicle such as, replenishing oil, windshield wiper fluid, broken chains, and fuel when needed.
- Turn in daily trip inspections to your supervisor or Parking/Transportation Manager so that equipment needing to be pulled out of service can be worked on or replaced by our vehicle maintenance team.
- Obey the posted speed limit inside the Crystal Mountain Ski parking lots
- Arrive to each shuttle collection point prior to a scheduled departure time.
- Have strong abilities to manage passenger behavior for the safety of others and Crystal Mountain shuttle property while in transport.
- Assure that all passengers are safely loaded, seated, and all items are secured either with the passenger or trailer prior to any departures.
- Adhere to the passenger and load capacity for each shuttle trailer
- Convey passengers to and from predetermined pick up and drop off locations from each parking lot within the Crystal Mountain Ski Resort boundary.
- Prior to departure, assure that all passengers disembark safely before leaving to your next drop off/ pick up location.
- Communicate with your supervisor on departure times to avoided parking lot backups.
- Attend required safety meeting and or training as needed.
- Engage with customers and have working knowledge of the area
- Report general or driver related incidents to your supervisor or Parking/Transportation Manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS-
- Must have valid CDL with a Class B endorsement
- Must have experience driving in the snow, ice and extreme weather conditions
- Must be organized, punctual, and reliable with a positive attitude
- Have strong communication skills
- Be able to get in and out of shuttle multiple times a day
- Know how to operate 4x4 vehicle with trailer in very tight road conditions
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS-
- This position is required to workday, evenings, weekends and holidays while in operation.
- Strong ability to drive in all types of weather conditions
- Adapt to daily route changes due to snowpack or large amount of customer for a specific day
- Ability to remove or shovel snow off both the trailer and truck assigned to you
- Conduct level 1 maintenance on a vehicle such as, adding air to tires, topping off oil or fuel level, and replacing tire chains.
- Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Ability to work for extended periods of time sitting, bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.
- Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on an occasional basis.
