Machinist II - Punch Press

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a first shift (6AM - 2:30PM) Machinist II - Punch Pressbased in Indianapolis, IN. The Machinist II - Punch Press is responsible for performing machine setups, tool changes, Punch Press, and adjusting as necessary.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $23/hr - $25/hr plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Follow operation instructions; operate machine according to standard operating instructions
• Monitor and maintain equipment safely, load stock and empty scrap hoppers with fork trucks
• Document and inspect quality of work per Quality Assurance Inspection Procedure (QAIP).
• Load setup automatic and transfer equipment in to presses .
• Using micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and comparator

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Extensive experience operating, setups, tool changes, etc.
• Understanding of shop math & blueprint reading/comprehension Geometric Dimensional and Tolerance (GD&T).
• Ability to perform advanced quality inspections.
• Professional communication skills.

• Understanding in the application of similar quality control concepts
• Computer proficient and lean skills
• Documented manufacturing education/training
