Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Works independently on larger, moderately complex projects/ assignments

  • Sets objectives for own job area to meet the objectives or goals of projects and assignments

  • Requires ability to solve difficult problems, and often contributes new ideas and solutions

  • Level of participation required for the collection, documentation & drafting of materials related to intellectual capital & training requirements

  • Responsible for making adjustments or recommended enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area

  • Identifies and participates in learning opportunities

  • Demonstrates proficient technical skills and able to deliver assigned tasks independently

  • Communicates with contacts typically within the Sector Area on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring some explanation or interpretation in order to reach agreement

  • Start participating in the proposal writing process by providing technical review and advice

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in bridge design

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required, Masters preferred.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

  • Requires practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience

  • Responsible for more complex projects generally involving multiple aspects

  • Creates concept designs, design specifications; assesses constructability; creates documentation and drawing from conceptual ideas

  • Responsible for data and business requirements analysis and technical work to support assigned projects

  • Ensures technical accuracy of assigned work/projects

  • Developing specialized skills in a particular discipline

T.Y. Lin International is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of$86,900 - $131,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
