Job Overview:

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of his assigned production area. The position will ensure production schedules are maintained for timely delivery of customer products. The Production Supervisor will also enforce the company policies regarding safety, quality, productivity and discipline.

Responsibilities:


  • Conduct employee training on equipment operations or work and safety procedures.
  • Work with the engineering department and industrial engineer to drive continuous improvement efforts and reduce costs.
  • Adjust the production plan in time according to changes in the demand plan.
  • Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services.
  • Review processes and be involved in implementation and review of procedures, processes, and equipment.
  • Focus on lean improvements to meet production plans.
  • Lead problem solving teams to address manufacturing problems.


Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or GED


Core Competencies:


  • Strong leadership skills and effective team coordination
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of gauges and their proper use
  • Able to work in a team environment


Preferences:


  • Supervisory experience in manufacturing environment, machining preferred
  • Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements


This position will be based at our site in Connersville, with minimal anticipated travel.
