SUMMARY

The Site Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the site and supervises the managers and supervisors assigned to the site. This position provides leadership and communication for the site, interfaces between the site and administrative management ensuring that the site is connected to and in line with the Agency as a whole and represents the Agency in the communities that the site is located in and serves. The Site Director works closely with all Clinical Directors receiving direction and guidance from them for the programs that the Clinical Directors oversee.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports and promotes the mission of the agency: Foothill Family empowers children and families to achieve success in relationships, school, and work through community-based services that advance growth and development.
  • Effectively participates as a member of the Management team and represents the needs of the site to the rest of the Agency leadership.
  • Provides a work environment at the site that elicits timely high quality service delivery, promotes achieving goals, acknowledges excellence, and generates productivity.
  • Supervises the supervisors and managers at the site.
  • Solves problems using proactive leadership skills that promote trust, confidence, and high morale. This applies to all levels of the Agency including direct reports, peers, and management.
  • Presides over site meetings using standard management practice tools: agenda preparation, meeting summaries and specific follow up to concerns identified in meetings.
  • Assures quality improvement and compliance in the programs and services provided by the staff at the site.
  • Ensures the clinical adequacy of services delivered. Routinely administer quality assurance procedures including weekly record reviews.
  • Effectively represents the Agency at external meetings and events, including the ability to conduct presentations to small and large groups, and markets all Agency programs to the community.
  • Provides in-service training to other agencies and Foothill employees, consults and/or collaborates with other agencies and schools, and interfaces with liaisons for trainees and interns from graduate schools.
  • Monitors reception, service delivery staff and accounting in the collection of complete and accurate information necessary for treatment and billing. Follows Agency billing procedures by providing accurate information working in concert with accounting.
  • Provides 24/7 telephone backup for emergencies both during office hours and outside of office hours.
  • Supports, reinforces, and implements agency policies. Work effectively and cooperatively with other agency staff, collaborating when appropriate.
  • Works in close harmony with the Clinical Directors in keeping them up to date on site specific program matters and receives direction from them regarding the programs that the Clinical Directors oversee.
  • Works in close harmony with the Executive and Senior Management, accepting direction and implementing policies and procedures reflective of this direction.
  • Ensures the timely submission of all performance appraisals, new hire and termination paperwork and other employee status changes including informing HR of employee leaves, work-related injuries, and employee incidents.
  • Displays sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Performs work in a safe manner at all times and ensures employees are abiding by safety practices; takes action when employees put themselves or others at risk.
  • Follows all policies, procedures and legal mandates including HIPAA, client confidentiality, releases of information, protected health information (PHI) and client files.
  • Ensures staff follows all policies, procedures and legal mandates including HIPAA, client confidentiality, releases of information, protected health information (PHI) and client files, and takes applies appropriate coaching, counseling and disciplinary action to reinforce staff compliance.
  • Ensures performance and behaviors support the Agency's performance quality improvement (PQI) goals and objectives.
  • Reports to work on time and maintains reliable and regular attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Agency's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Examines, analyzes and evaluates program operations, productivity data and personnel needs, prepares necessary reports and makes recommendations to reconcile program budget(s) and resource allocations.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • California State Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage Family Therapist.
  • Master's degree from accredited social work, or marriage and family therapy or psychology program.
  • At least 5 years of post-license experience in clinical supervision.
  • Experience in providing direct service to individuals, families and groups. Experience in providing child abuse treatment.
  • Ability to be an effective representative of the Agency to the community.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to read and write complex material.
  • Ability to consistently use sound judgment to make timely, independent decisions.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and maintain momentum and direction on each task.
  • Excellent understanding of and ability to use DSM V/ICD 10.
  • Ability to administer a complex program by being detailed oriented, following up on concerns, and understanding the systems which help insure quality of service and accurate record keeping.
  • Superior interpersonal skills, including the ability to work cooperatively as a team member.
  • Knowledge and sensitivity to cultural differences.
  • Valid CA Driver's License and maintains insurability on the Agency's auto liability policy (including a minimum of 2 years driving experience after receiving license) and maintains the California state required auto insurance liability limits.
