Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and/or education, and location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
SUMMARY The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for managing the financial reporting process and filings in accordance with principles generally accepted in the United States of America (GAAP), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and respective regulatory guidelines. This role is also responsible for overseeing accounting policies and technical accounting related functions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has supervisory responsibilities. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Accounting or Finance. Requires 7 or more years of accounting experience or combination of work experience and advanced degree, 2 years of supervisory experience and relevant experience in the financial services industry and SEC reporting required. Licensed CPA or candidate for CPA is highly desirable. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and apply concepts of basic algebra. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. COMPUTER & SOFTWARE SKILLS Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, Excel, Word, PowerPoint are required. Salary Range:$127,475.00 To $184,838.00 Annually 40 hours per week. |
