Position Summary: The Cloud Engineer will lead and help shape our cloud strategies moving forward, with opportunities to research and investigate new technologies. This individual will also help guide other IT system administrators in the department regarding Cloud technologies. NOTE: This role is eligible for hybrid work from home opportunity 3 days per week and 2 days in office located in Lincoln, NE under the work from home guidelines upon completion of onboarding.

Essential Functions:



  • Main responsibilities involve designing and managing cloud-based infrastructure to meet organizational needs. Deploy new applications to the cloud and migrate existing applications from on-premises infrastructure to the cloud. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, system administrators, and data insights teams to deliver cloud solutions.
  • Monitor the performance of cloud-based systems and applications and optimize resources to ensure cost-effectiveness and high availability.
  • Displays strong technical aptitude with Windows Servers, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Server and application monitoring, IT Security, Disaster Recovery, PowerShell, and Database administration including MSSQL.
  • Lead medium to large projects in area of assignment, which would include cloud services such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Software as a Service (Saas).
  • Create detailed technical documentation.
  • Assist the technical teams with escalated support calls and participate in an on-call rotation for escalated issues.
  • Maintains and compile with bank's policies, procedures and strategies to provide efficient and effective service to internal and external customers.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure service levels and contract requirements are maintained.
  • Responsible for participating in an after-hours on call rotation.
  • Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training and follow internal processes and controls as required.
  • Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Prefer at least five years of progressive experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure-based databases and data storage solutions.
  • Microsoft Certifications Preferred.
  • Valid Nebraska driver's license.

Working Environment:

Mostly indoor work with occasional exposure to outdoor elements or hazards.

Medium workload - lifting and/or carrying up to 20 pounds frequently and exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally.

Some travel required.
