Description

The purpose of the Student Alumni Ambassadors is to represent Lipscomb University's student body while serving our external constituents. The program will help students grow and sharpen skills while providing leadership development opportunities.

The Student Alumni Ambassador acts as a representative for the Office of Alumni and Parent Engagement in event settings and on the telephone. This includes:



  • Attend the 45 minute - 1 hour weekly team meeting.
  • Serve as host and greeter at events
  • Assist the team with Bisons Weekend, including events throughout the weekend
  • Help plan, create and execute student initiatives and events for Bisons Weekend
  • Help with event preparations

    • Call invitees with information and find out if they can attend
    • Assist the team with preparations such as event supplies, name tags, etc.


  • Help plan, create and execute student initiatives and events for Day of Giving
  • Thank donors through phone calls, short videos and/or thank you notes
  • Have a portfolio of alumni, parents and friends to call and ask for financial support
  • Social media - serve as social media ambassadors/take over hosts


Selection Process: Candidates will be discovered through recommendations of faculty and staff throughout campus, as well as from Lipscomb alumni. Candidates will then be interviewed by members of the Alumni and Parent Engagement and Annual Giving team.

Hours Needed: Each Student Alumni Ambassador will be expected to work a minimum of 5 hours per week plus attending the weekly meeting. Some nights and weekend hours will be required and those dates will be shared as soon as events are finalized.

May be eligble for Federal Work Study.
