Farnsworth Group is seeking a Sr. Civil Engineer / Project Manager in our Ft. Collins, office. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our growing team of design professionals. Qualified candidates will be responsible for providing our private owners/developers and municipal clients with cost effective, sustainable, and attractive developments. This position offers significant career growth and advancement with managing multi-discipline teams.
Job Activities:


  • Plan, design and manage a variety of private owner/developer driven civil engineering land development and municipal projects
  • Collaborate with other Farnsworth Group disciplines
  • Communicate with clients regarding current and future projects
  • Organize and complete projects from inception and through entitlements and construction completion
  • Attend and facilitate client stakeholder meetings
  • Delegate design tasks to junior level engineers and designers
  • Mentor and train student-interns and entry level engineers
  • Prepare project proposals, budgets, and schedules
  • Attend city planning & zoning meetings and city council meetings


Specific Requirements include:


  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • 12 -20 years of civil engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) Licensed in Colorado
  • Experience working on private owner/developer projects and municipal projects
  • Ability to effectively manage clients and design teams
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with multi-discipline teams
  • Strong team player that can manage projects and multi-task design work
  • AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience required
  • Water, wastewater, and stormwater modeling a plus
  • Strong communication skills
