Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

Area Specific Job Accountabilities:

Responsible for the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), its set-up and proper operation and system maintenance. Works with managers and staff to operate and maintain the system in an efficient manner. Provides mentoring and training on operation of the CMMS, including functionality, troubleshooting and reporting, to supervisors and frontline staff. Responsible for the organization and integrity of data related to the CMMS. With management's assistance, gathers and compiles asset and equipment information, and establishes manufacturer recommended maintenance scheduling and tasks in accordance with Joint Commission requirements. Archives all data for reference and back-up purposes. Conducts field surveys and verifies CMMS information including equipment assets, inventory, etc. Coordinates with Operations and Maintenance managers to assure timely completion of Preventative Maintenance, Corrective, and Demand work order tasks with an emphasis on regulatory compliance, efficiency, quality and safety. Will also assist with various projects not limited to equipment installations, process improvement, etc.

System administrator of the Mobile component of the CMMS (PDA's, scanners). Work includes configuration of PDA hardware and software, managing spare units, managing application updates and physical repairs to PDA equipment (i.e., chargers, cables, and barcode scanners). Trains employees on proper use of the PDAs and provides tech support to troubleshoot problems as they arise. Coordinates with the IM Department to maintain a secure WiFi connection to the Mobile devices. Installs and maintains mobile device management software and security certificates for the WiFi connections for interface with the CMMS. Assists IM Department to assure continued compliance with HIPAA rules. Produce routine and ad-hoc reports as directed by management. Assist in development of management dashboards for key performance indicators and regulatory compliance requirements. Assist in capital project turnover process within Facilities Services. Work includes enrollment of information for new equipment, spaces, etc. in the CMMS for recently completed projects. Updates to the CMMS for equipment and areas that have been decommissioned. The position actively follows regulatory agency compliance requirements, supports the hospital mission and goal objectives, the department quality improvement and operating goals, as well as customer service excellence principles goals, individually and as an effective team member.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

An Associate's degree in a science related field preferred or equivalent coursework in computer science or 10 years of related experience in CMMS software. Information systems and networking background is a plus. Experience in a Facility Services department with knowledge of building systems, mechanical equipment, and non-clinical equipment is preferred. Hospital experience is a plus. Experience working with a CMMS system is required. Experience with SiteFM and Android devices/tablets is highly preferred. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Maintains a valid driver's license and safe driving record. Knowledge of and practices personal safety, hospital infection control and life safety procedures required. Utilizes personal protective equipment including: eyesight, respiratory and hearing protective devices.
