Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking Summer Patent Engineers (a ten-week position) to join the Intellectual Property Department in multiple offices. We are seeking individuals with strong academic backgrounds, excellent written and oral communication skills, and an eagerness to confront new challenges and responsibilities. The position will entail working with Foley's patent agents and attorneys, as well as inventors from innovative companies as they seek patent protection on their latest innovations. This position is for the following Foley offices: Boston, Chicago, Milwaukee, San Diego and Washington, D.C.

This position is open to all qualified candidates who will graduate in December of 2025, or May/June of 2026, with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering (such as Electrical, Mechanical, Material Science, Computer, Nuclear, Aerospace, and Biomedical), Physics, or a related field. California Applicants: Pursuant to the California Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act, the annual salary for this position is $70,200, prorated for time spent at the firm.
