Key Position Details:

  • 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week period)

Job Description:

The Clinical Support Assistant provides support to providers and the care teams by performing routine administrative and clinical tasks.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Manage medical records of patients.
    • Collaborate effectively and appropriately with inside/outside referral sources to assure timely completion of chart compilation including but not limited to documents, imaging, and pathology.
    • Provide outside facilities and clinics with pertinent health information requested in a timely fashion according to HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform clerical duties within the department.
    • Respond and process phone/verbal/email requests in a professional and timely manner, ensuring that all are complete.
    • Provide excellent, quality customer service.
  • Prepare examination rooms for procedure.
    • Stock supplies.
  • Assist in clinical areas.
    • Maintain inventory of supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 0 to 2 years of Excellian/Epic experience
  • 0 to 2 years of medical, clinical or hospital clerical/office experience
  • 0 to 2 years of Medical terminology

Physical Demands

  • Light Work:
  • Lifting weightUp to 20 lbs. occasionally, Up to 10 lbs. frequently

Pay Range

Pay Range: $19.63 to $26.51 per hour The pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
