ChampionX has an immediate opening for a Business Insights Engineerbased in Sugar Land, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and communicating global insights related to Chemical Technologies markets, customers, health and growth. What You Will Do:

  • Work with IT and Digital teams developing tools and processes that enable Growth and Health
  • Be proficient in data scrubbing, knowledge in Power Query, SQL, Python, R, Alteryx or any other scrubbing and data analytics language is desirable
  • Manage, transform, and clean raw data from multiple enterprise data sources by using data scrubbing tool like Power Query, SQL, Python, R for data analytics
  • Knowledge on Microsoft Azure analytical platform is desirable
  • Connect internal and external data to develop descriptive and prescriptive analytics to guide the ChampionX organization towards sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Provide Business Intelligence/ Business Analytics utilizing data visualization tools like Power BI to empower decision-makers with actionable insights
  • Working in a data-driven decision-making environment, leveraging industry standard KPIs to measure and improve performance
  • Develop processes to maintain data integrity & governance related to the ChampionX Chemical Technologies portfolio.
  • Administrative duties to support digital solutions including maintenance and enhancements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on ad-hoc requests

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years of professional experience or MBA in Marketing with minimum 3 years of related experience
  • Proficient in Alteryx and Power BI
  • Proficient in Power Automate
  • Proficient in Power Apps
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
  • Knowledgeable in SQL and database management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management experience
  • Experience with Specialty Chemicals in the Oil & Gas industry is preferred.
  • Ability to integrate portfolio data from diverse sources and implement data integrity controls for optimal governance.
  • Knowledge on Data Provision, Data Lake, Microsoft Azure is preferred.
  • Must have demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and drive multiple projects in parallel.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills both within and outside the business, organizational skills, good attention to detail and use of sound judgment in a fast-paced environment are essential.
