Spiro is hiring a Financial Analyst to join our Field Finance team. The Financial Analyst works in partnership with the Field Finance Team, delivering best-in-class service. The Financial Analyst supports Spiro month end close, forecasting, and planning functions as well as ad hoc reporting and requests.

Responsibilities


  • Prepare monthly reporting package for cost centers
  • Prepare and present financial variance analysis
  • Upload Plan and Forecast financial budgeting activities
  • Work with Cost Center owners to determine monthly/annual budgets
  • Perform monthly job cost and margin/profitability analysis
  • Identify and prepare monthly, quarterly and year end close activities including posting and preparing journal entries
  • Provide guidance and policy for Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and compliance
  • Review monthly operating results; understand and explain monthly activity and variances
  • Performs other duties as assigned and deemed necessary of the position by the Finance Manager and Director of Finance.

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive finance/accounting experience
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze results and determine areas of improvement and causal effects
  • Strong knowledge of financial information systems and demonstrated ability to manage projects/resources
  • Strong financial and operational analysis skills
  • Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Intellectual and change leadership skills
  • Strong business acumen/general management
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Microsoft Office suite experience-to include strong Excel skills
  • Oracle software experience
  • Hyperion/Essbase knowledge and experience

Work Environment

Special Considerations:




  • Occasionally need to put in long hours when peak business levels dictate.



  • Flexibility with work schedule (required to change shifts and work days as business needs dictate)
