Overview

Aspect Consulting, a Geosyntec Company, an earth science and engineering consulting firm, is seeking an Environmental Engineer with at least 7 years of experience to join our growing Environmental Practice in our Seattle, Bellingham, Wenatchee, or Bainbridge Island, WA office.

Aspect's environmental Practice tackles challenges on a variety of complex environmental projects all over the Northwest including environmental site assessments, remedial investigations/feasibility studies, property cleanup and urban redevelopments, remedial design engineering, cost recovery/allocation/mediation support, and landfill system monitoring and optimization (check out the Project Case Studies on our website). As an Environmental Engineer at Aspect, your work will consist primarily of office work in environmental project management on environmental investigation and remediation projects, often working with multi-disciplinary teams. You will lead the development and implementation of environmental due diligence, remedial investigations, and cleanup actions on known or suspected contaminated sites. The role may require periodic work outdoors in all weather conditions, and in rugged and sometimes remote field locations for short periods of time. You also can expect to work directly with geologists, environmental engineers, and scientists to expand core skills and learn how to effectively apply environmental consulting strategies and solutions for our clients, who include attorneys, landowners, public agencies, engineers, and contractors. This is a long-term, career-track position with the ultimate goal to grow and develop your own practice through effective project delivery and client development.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Work collaboratively with colleagues, clients, and partners to plan and execute work on a variety of environmental investigation and remediation projects;
  • Perform task, project, and client management under the guidance of senior technical experts;
  • Manage project teams that can include junior field staff, writing and editing staff, technical subject matter experts, and subcontractors to meet project needs;
  • Conduct project scoping and budgeting and manage project budget and schedule;
  • Apply technical expertise gained in your field of study to environmental project problem solving to meet client needs and project objectives;
  • Complete technical data evaluation and write reports;


Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering; (required)
  • Master's degree in environmental engineering; (preferred)
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification or Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE); (preferred)


Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Relevant coursework or experience in contaminant fate and transport.
  • Knowledge of state and federal cleanup laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance for cleanup of contaminated sites.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Clear and professional writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent client management skills.
  • Ability to work on teams and interface with clients, attorneys, and regulators to execute projects.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)

Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified Washington locations below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec's total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.

  • Minimum Salary: $98,510/ Maximum Salary: $128,065 (Wenatchee)
  • Minimum Salary: $103,435/ Maximum Salary: $134,465 (Bellingham)
  • Minimum Salary: $108,360/ Maximum Salary: $140,870 (Bainbridge Island, Seattle)
