Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking a candidate to fill a full time Associate Roadway Discipline Manager position in our Indianapolis, Indiana office. Our new team member will be expected to take a leading role in the advancement of Hanson's technical abilities in the field of transportation engineering and serve as a technical leader for a variety of transportation engineering projects.
Position Profile
This person is expected to work as part of multidisciplinary design teams to plan and execute transportation projects for a variety of clients including local governments and state departments of transportation throughout Indiana, Kentucky and beyond. Projects are likely to include reconstruction of rural highways and roads, urban highways and streets, major urban thoroughfares, urban and rural bridge replacements, culverts and storm sewer, intersections, sidewalks and multiuse paths, rail grade crossings, signing, pavement marking, and traffic control plans for construction. Position requires the ability to serve as a key member of the project design team providing direction and supervision to junior level staff in the areas of roadway design. Position requires the ability to work on a variety of road related projects, take direction from multiple project managers, and coordinate with other staff. This position has a $10,000 signing bonus. A Day in Life of an Associate Roadway Discipline Manager at Hanson This person will be responsible for overseeing all roadway work and staff in Indiana and Kentucky. You will be responsible for tracking, distributing, and balancing the workload for staff locally, coordinating with and reporting to the Roadway Discipline Manager to allocate additional resources from other locations and disciplines to deliver quality projects on time and within budget. Coordinating with project managers on current and upcoming projects, assisting with project pursuits, and helping to identify areas of opportunity.
