Job Description

As the Software Developer, Journey, you will:

A week in the life of a Software Developer, Journey:



  • Support development team responsible for the Global Reusable Interface Domain (GRID) tool.
  • Experience with programming languages such as C++/C/Java/C#/Rust, Python scripting, algorithm development.
  • Design, develop, and evaluate code for real time modeling of environmental factors in a distributed battlespace simulation.
  • Collaborate with team members. Interfacing with sensor models.
  • Analyze and profile program performance.
  • Work with industry, SMEs, and operators to push the state of the art in simulation used for platform Operational Test and high-end training.


Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
  • BS in Computer Science or Engineering. Degrees in Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or Aerospace, Computer, Software Systems, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering may qualify as substitute.
  • Must be able to obtain a maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
  • Must have the ability to accommodate a hybrid schedule (1 week per quarter; every 3 months) onsite support at Pax River (Managers discretion).

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is$75,000.00-126,000.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
