Job Description

Are you a Subject Matter Expertexperienced in project management, systems engineering, and various technologies? Then we wantYOUto be our nextSubject Matter Expert - Technical Project Manager (PM) supportingour U.S. Government customer located in the National Capital Region.

A week in the life of aSubject Matter Expert - Technical PM:



  • Provide technical and management leadership on major technology assignments
  • Establish goals and plans to meet assessment objectives
  • Possess expert technical knowledge of various technologies used by Law Enforcement domains
  • Define performance objectives andperformance levels
  • Understandand describeanomalies/flaws in decision-making of application development or acquisition
  • Validate requirements and deliverables of products and services that projects/programs produce
  • Resolve issues regarding program deliverables of various law enforcement technologies



AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is$110,000 - $145,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. Job Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in IT or Engineering field
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM field
  • DHS suitability clearance
  • Experience with Department of Homeland Security
  • Experience in systems engineering, acquisition, test and evaluation, sustainment
  • Understanding of Systems acquisition lifecycle (e.g., ALF and MD-102).
  • Familiarity with IEEE standard 1012, IEEE Standard 829-1998, and the DHS SELC.
  • Excellent writing, communications, and briefing skills.
  • Certifications from DAU and DAWIA in Acquisition or test and evaluation
