Job Description Employee Relations Senior Manager Location:Boston, MA (3 days onsite, 2 days remote weekly) General Summary: Vertex currently operates at the forefront of rare disease scientific innovation and has successfully developed and commercialized multiple breakthrough medicines for Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and Sickle Cell Disease. In addition to clinical development programs in CF, Vertex has more than a dozen ongoing research programs focused on the underlying mechanisms of other serious diseases including programs in Type 1 diabetes, hemoglobinopathies, APOL-1 Mediated Kidney Disease, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, and pain. The Employee Relations Senior Manager is responsible for ensuring Employee Relations (ER) principles and governance is aligned with business objectives in designated business units/client groups, maintains an effective level of businessacumen and digital literacy to support data-based decision making, drives functional resiliency and fosters exceptional people culture. This role supports development and maintenance of a best-in-class ER function, and ensures employee concerns are handled timely, fairly, consistently and in accordance with company values and all applicable laws. Additionally, they will partner closely with the ER Director and HRBP function to deliver OneHR value-added service to the business and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
