**The Medical Assistant** (MA), under the direction of licensed personnel, implements, monitors, and documents processes to ensure that all patients receive high quality, efficient care.
**Schedule:** Full-time, three 12-hour shifts starting at 4:45am; Sundays off; no overnight shifts

**Responsibilities**
**What You Can Expect:**
+ Obtains and records patient vital signs and machine readings according to facility policies.
+ Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs.
+ Prepare exam and treatment rooms with the necessary instruments for your patients including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments.
+ Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
+ Assist physicians in preparing for examinations and physicals.
+ Assist with scheduling of tests and treatments as needed for patients.
+ Answer telephone calls to the practice and screens for referral to physicians and practitioners
+ Calculates patient's weight loss to reach dry weight.
+ Determines patient care priorities and organizes work load efficiently and effectively.
+ Maintains professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights.
**Qualifications**

+ Ability to problem solve
**Education/Training:**
+ Will train the right candidate
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ Certified Medical Assistant required.
+ Previous healthcare experience preferred.
