Production Supervisor

Role & Responsibilities

• Meet with previous supervisors to discuss any issues from the prior shift.
• Manage employee callouts by arranging replacements when necessary.
• Review the current production run list to ensure alignment with schedule and quality standards.
• Conduct a comprehensive walkthrough of the makeup floor, recording essential information on relevant sheets.
• Address and resolve any problems or issues with employees promptly.
• Record all employee injuries on the appropriate documents.
• Ensure employees are performing required tasks, including Quality Check sheets, recording dough schedules, monitoring product temperatures, maintaining housekeeping standards, and working safely.
• Fill out a shift report for each day worked, documenting key activities and observations.
• Communicate any major issues to the Production Manager.

Safety:

Maintain a safe working environment for all employees/contractors.

Promote safety in all areas of operations.

Sanitation:

• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
• Follow proper Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.P.s) at all times.
• Other Related Duties:
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Production Superintendent or Assistant Production Superintendent.

Requirements & Physical Demands

• Ability to arrive to work on time consistently.
• Five or more years in plant sanitation management. Preferably in an industrial bakery Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge in pest control.
• Able to read, comprehend and practice necessary safety procedures, signs, etc.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Have the ability to stand and/or stoop for the full shift.
• Working holidays and weekends is frequently required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
