SSOE is looking to hire a Data Network Infrastructure Design Lead. They will join our team of low voltage system designers. You will be provided with the opportunity to collaborate with architects and engineers within the company and present your design techniques to the world's most leading companies for their state-of-the-art facilities. As a Data Network Infrastructure Design Lead, your primary responsibilities will be to coordinate with the client and the project design team for IT room locations, raceways, backbone and horizontal cabling, and network cable and fiber optic termination details. The objective is to provide the client's IT department with the necessary infrastructure for their project needs. In conjunction with your design, you will need to collaborate with our architects for IT room floor plans, the mechanical department for IT room HVAC needs, the electrical department for power needed for the IT equipment, and the civil discipline for the site network and outside plant infrastructure. It is also expected of you to represent and be the point of contact for the project in the aspect of fire alarm and security system design. Unless experienced, you will not be responsible for designing the fire alarm or security systems, however you will be asked to represent the Data / Fire / Security department in the project meetings and throughout the project. Responsibilities
Participate in Data/Fire/Security (DFS) department collaboration meetings to provide your project(s) status, budget updates, and projected workloads.
