Overview

The Contracts Principal acting as a Contracts Manager, participates in the development and fulfillment of contract requirements in the purchase or sale/delivery of equipment, materials, products or services | Evaluates contract compliance and advises others on contractual rights and obligations | Requests or approves amendments to contract terms or contract extensions | Prepares bids or requests for proposals (RFPs), including specifications and requirements; negotiates contract terms and participates in the determination of acceptable bids.



Major Position Responsibilities

    Prepares, examines, negotiates and revises contracts.
  • Ensures contracts are consistent with management's goals, policies, and procedures.
  • Handles the acquisition, distribution, and store of purchases.
  • Assures that all clarifications and amendments of negotiations are incorporated into the final contract.
  • Generates, maintains, and audits a central contract-resource file.

Ensures that necessary procedural controls exist.

Basic Qualifications

Required Education: Associate's Degree

Equivqlent Combination of Relevent Education & Experience

Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree

Major In: Accounting, Finance or Business peferred

Years of Experience: 8-10 years of relevent experience

Organizational skills. Oral and written communication skills. Detail oriented. Leadership skills. Contract compliance. Contract lifecycle management. Contract negotiation. Contract administration. Contract review.

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Professionals - Subject Matter Experts

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Government Contracts experience, good working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and other applicable regulations, ability to perform research, performs tasks with great attention to detail, be able to assimilate and extract key data from documents, very organized, ability to multi-task, computer savvy with strong Microsoft skills, ERP software experience (IFS a plus), articulate with strong communication skills, strong negotiation skills, flexible, good interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate across multiple lines of business at all levels within the organization.B15



Pay Range (USD)

$93,100.00 - $172,900.00

The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process.


Additional Compensation

Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company's Gain Sharing Program.
