The Sr Principal Automation Engineer: Develops, designs, builds and tests robotic platforms from prototype through product commercialization. Creates an integrated autonomous interface, mobility, communication, and human-robot interaction. Works with cross-functional teams to understand opportunities for robotic applications. Major Position Responsibilities
Uses engineering techniques to design, develop, test, and manage automated machinery processes.
Basic Qualifications Required Education: Associates Degree Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree Discipline/Major: General Engineering or specialized Engineering degree required Years of Experience: 10-12 years of experience in automation engineering or related field. Skills, certifications, abilities and attributes: Technical Skills: Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMI development, robotics, CAD software, and simulation tools. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Develop and implement automated systems for use in diverse manufacturing and production environments. - Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Travel Requirements: Likely less than 25% |
