Overview

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) is looking for an experienced Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Lincoln, NE organization. We are expanding rapidly and looking for motivated and creative individuals who want to help support and shape this organization as we grow.

GD-OTS provides reliable and affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets. With more than 60 years of expertise, GD-OTS designs, develops, manufactures, and tests a full range of composite missile and space structures, including rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes and fuel tanks.



Major Position Responsibilities

    Develops and implements methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure that the products are free of flaws and function as designed
  • Designs and installs sophisticated testing equipment and performs product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates
  • Analyzes reports and defective products to determine trends and recommend corrective actions
  • Collaborates with supplier representatives on quality problems, ensures that effective corrective actions are implemented and contributes to supplier quality improvement programs


Basic Qualifications

  • Associate's in applicable engineering or technical discipline; Bachelor's preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years experience preferred.

    • Strong manufacturing processes background, Lean or Six Sigma training, ISO/AS9100 Quality System.
    • Standards, Material Review Board (MRB) activities, Failure analysis/problem solving, FMEA's, SPC, and
      tracking and reporting on problem and project status.
    • DoD Aerospace experience desirable.
    • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
    • Self directed and motivated, who can work with minimal supervision.
