Department's Website: This non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Practice position entails contributing to the development of a concentrated sports journalism program at a Southeastern Conference school, including duties such as teaching multiple sports-related classes as well as foundational courses in media writing, and demonstrating a commitment to building an inclusive scholarly environment through teaching, mentoring, research, outreach, and service. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. About the School: The School of Journalism and Strategic Media offers degree programs in Advertising/Public Relations and Journalism, with concentrations in multimedia storytelling and production, broadcast journalism and journalism. Students are trained in multiplatform news production, media analysis, campaign planning, social media, as well as television, radio and multimedia programming. The school offers numerous student media organizations and registered student organizations, an active community outreach program, award-winning faculty and a Center for Media Ethics in Journalism.
