Responsible for addressing the patient's and/or the support person's needs for spiritual care and emotional care and related services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. One (1) unit of Clinical Pastoral Education. 2. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. A graduate-level theological degree from an accredited school of theologyORequivalent graduate-level degree that may be counted towards board certification. 2. Eligible for certification by the Association of Professional Chaplains, National Association of Catholic Chaplains, or National Association of Jewish Chaplains EXPERIENCE: 1. One year of healthcare chaplaincy experience preferred. Provide for the spiritual care of patients, family members and hospital staff as needed. 2. Provide end of life and bereavement support. 3. Respond in person to emergency pages /alerts: Code Blue; Trauma - priority 1; STEMIAlerts. 4. Provide support to hospital staff. Scheduled for work based on operational needs of the hospital. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Skilled in accompanying and assisting persons experiencing emotional and/or spiritual distress due to trauma, crisis, or death. Additional Job Description: * This is an on-call only position with multiple 12 hour on call shifts during the week.
