Summary of Job Duties:Teach post-secondary technical courses in Early Childhood Education program which includes: Curriculum Development for Infants and Toddlers, Environments in Early Childhood, Foundations of Early childhood Education, Child Development, Child Guidance, Development and Curriculum in Early Childhood, Methods and Materials, Observation and Assessment in Early Childhood Education, Child Care Program Planning, Children with Special Needs, Introduction to Childcare Practicum, and Practicum I and II. In addition to teaching, the employee will be responsible for advising and registering students; developing instructional and lab activities; keeping program and student records; assisting with recruitment; placement, and follow-up; participating in professional development activities; making business and industry contacts; coordination and supervising internships/ practicum assignments; and other duties as assigned. Evening and/or summer hours may be required. Qualifications:

Preferred formal education of a masters degree in Early Childhood Development Education or related area to be taught and a minimum of three years related work or teaching experience or a baccalaureate's degree in the vocation area to be taught. Must possess good communication, problem solving, decision making, and organizational skills, and be willing to obtain occupational-related certifications as deemed necessary.
