Department:Math & Computer Science Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties:1. Teach a range of graduate and undergraduate courses in Cyber Security, including but not limited to network security, information security, cryptography, ethical hacking, and risk management. 2. Develop course materials, syllabi, and instructional resources that align with the learning objectives and foster active learning in Cyber Security. 3. Provide mentorship and academic advising to graduate and undergraduate students, offering guidance on academic programs, research opportunities, and career paths in Cyber Security. 4. Conduct scholarly research in Cyber Security, leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at conferences. 5. Seek external funding opportunities to support research endeavors and collaborative projects within the department and interdisciplinary areas. 6. Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other service activities to contribute to the department's academic and administrative functions. 7. Stay abreast of advancements in Cyber Security education, pedagogy, and research through professional development activities and engagement with scholarly literature. 8. Maintain regular office hours to meet with students, address their academic needs, and provide guidance on coursework, research projects, and career development. 9. Adhere to departmental and institutional policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and academic regulations. Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field. Expertise in teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in Cyber Security. Proven ability to effectively teach Cyber Security courses at both levels. Strong mentoring and advising skills to guide graduate and undergraduate students in Cyber Security. Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in academia. Demonstrated scholarly potential through research activities and publications in Cyber Security or related areas. Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technologies for Cyber Security education. Experience with industry-standard Cyber Security tools, practices, and protocols. Willingness to engage in departmental and university service activities.
