Position: Adjunct Instructors of Chemistry/or Physics
Job Summary:
The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff invites applicants for Adjunct Faculty Instructors in chemistry and physics disciplines. The candidate will be expected to engage in teaching of introductory courses to undergraduate students.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach lecture or lab in courses taken by undergraduate students. Candidates must have the capability and flexibility to teach in the evening and/or online classes with labs that meet in-person during the day. A shared vision for preparing students for their professional programs and an ability and willingness to use novel teaching techniques and technology to engage today's learners is essential. Qualifications:

A Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the discipline is required. Two years' experience teaching students in higher education. The successful candidate will possess competence and experience to develop, revise, implement, and assess the curriculum to ensure that students are acquiring current knowledge, including familiarity with the technology used in classroom settings. Candidates for this position must possess a thorough knowledge of the teaching field, a commitment to high academic standards, a dedication to student success, and excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, upon approval of the Department Interviewing Committee.
