ualr.edu/records Summary of Job Duties:The Administrative Analyst (Records Assistant) is a pivot position that works as part of the records and transfer credit application teams for the Office of Records and Registration and the credit research and application processes for the Office of Transfer Student Services. The Records Assistant is responsible for handling multiple priorities in a complex environment while exercising discretion and independent judgment, as well as interpreting and resolving student and faculty concerns in the Office of Records and Registration and the Office of Transfer Student Services, as directed. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma;

  • One year of specialized training in business management, business education, or a related field;

  • Three years of experience in a specialized or a related field applicable to work performed;

  • Meticulous attention to detail is required for this position.

Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements.

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, ideally higher education;

  • Experience with Banner and/or Workday.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff concerning UA Little Rock policies and procedures;

  • Research general student inquiries;

  • Assist with registration activities, drops/withdrawals, and Records Email Account;

  • Work in the On-Call office as scheduled to assist students, faculty, and staff promptly;

  • Process student requests, such as verification/transcript requests - as needed;

  • Assist the Office of Transfer Student Services in credit research and application as directed;

  • Assist the Transfer Credit Team during peak volume periods or as directed by supervisors;

  • Assist at UA Little Rock's commencement ceremonies;

  • Answer telephones;

  • Scan and link documents;

  • Assist with other duties as assigned;

  • Workday validation/transition/implementation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills;

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn and explain student academic records policies and procedures;

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn and use the Banner/Workday Student Information System;

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn and use the Transfer Evaluation System (TES) and transfer articulation/software processes and procedures;

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn and use Microsoft Office software;

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn and use basic office equipment: phone, computer, printer, copier, fax, etc.;

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn FERPA regulations;

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn and use Perceptive Content, document imaging;

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn ACD Phone System;

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a complex environment;

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;

  • Ability to organize resources and establish priorities;

  • Ability to maintain positive customer service values and professional work ethic;

  • Ability to follow guidelines, policies, procedures, and regulations both internally to the department and UA Little Rock, as well as federal and state regulations;

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends for commencement and other campus events.
