Parametrix has an excellent career opportunity for a COMMUNITY BUILDING DIVISION MANAGER to join our Oregon/Idaho region comprised of offices in Boise, Bend, Portland, and Vancouver. This position will effectively balance the internal responsibilities of mentoring, developing, and managing this 40+-person division while providing communication, direction, and strategy to support growth of external clients, projects, and markets. This position joins our Oregon/Idaho Regional Leadership Team and is influential in the growth and direction of the region. This position will be based in either Portland or Bend, Oregon, providing leadership and guidance to all regional staff. Limited travel between office locations will be necessary to successfully support the team. Our community building division partners with clients to design and deliver a variety of site civil and development projects, including municipal and tribal infrastructure, resort communities, data centers, and land surveying.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Setting and leading the business strategy and operations of the community building team in coordination with senior regional leadership.
  • Working in collaboration with senior leaders and PMs to help recruit, retain, and grow the community building team to meet regional and companywide strategic goals.
  • Supporting community building staff to identify opportunities, pre-position with clients, and prepare winning proposals.
  • Lead and support others with continued strong client relationships with private sector, municipalities, tribes, state and local agencies, and teaming partners.
  • Partner with leadership to implement programs (compensation, performance reviews) in support of professional development within the division.

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 15 +/- Years of experience and proven leadership in the A/E industry specializing in land development, site civil, design and/or construction
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, planning, or closely related field.
  • In-depth understanding of procurement and selection processes.
  • Established professional relationships with strategic regional clients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other business lines to position our firm for the pursuit of major business leads.
  • Strong communication, leadership, project management and staff development skills.

  • Base salary for this position is in the range of $150,000-$180,000+. Salary will be determined based on education, experience, location, and role. We conduct an equity review for all positions. Employee-owners are all eligible for performance-based bonuses based on key contributions. Salaries are reviewed at least once annually as part of our compensation program. We are transparent in our salary discussions and look forward to sharing more about our compensation structure and the value of being an employee-owner.
