About the Role

GHT is seeking a bright and motivated mechanical design engineer with a minimum of 4 to 10 years of HVAC design experience in the commercial, commercial interiors, and institutional environments.

Candidate must possess the following skills, traits, and credentials:



  • Demonstrate proficiency in HVAC design for the built environment including HVAC load calculations, equipment sizing and selection, developing control systems and performing site surveys; and have a working knowledge of building, energy, and green codes.
  • Be motivated to excel, able to work both independently and in a team setting and capable of organizing personal workflow.
  • Demonstrate management skills including a commitment to client satisfaction and responsiveness, the ability to coordinate, organize, and manage information and people across all MEP disciplines.
  • Exhibit the ability to delegate tasks, manage project schedules and budgets.
  • Possess good visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with AUTOCAD (recent releases) is also a must. Familiarity with Revit modeling is preferred.
  • Preferred: P.E. license, LEED accreditation
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship. GHT participates in E-Verify.
  • Successfully complete pre-employment background check and drug test. Certain projects may have additional requirements.
  • Able to travel to job sites and conduct site visits, including carrying equipment/materials; climbing, sitting, standing, walking, balancing.
