Commercial Litigation Associate Steptoe LLP, seeks an associate with 2 - 3 years of litigation experience to join the Firm's Commercial Litigation practice group in our Chicago office. Qualified candidates will have experience drafting briefs and motions, handling fact and expert discovery, and engaging in deposition and trial preparation. Candidates must have strong interpersonal, communication, research, analysis, and writing skills, as well as a track record of academic and professional excellence. They should be prepared to assume significant responsibility in the management of their matters, and to take on a front-facing role with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required. Bar membership, active and in good standing, in the jurisdiction where you are practicing, is also required. We offer competitive compensation and excellent benefits in a collegial working environment that provides training and mentorship. The anticipated salary range is $225,000 to $250,000. The actual base salary offered will be dependent upon the applicant's experience and qualifications, as well as other job-related factors, including but not limited to, relevant skills, education, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, geographic location.
