Position(s) Applying for
IP Patent Agent, Biotechnology Steptoe LLP, seeks a Intellectual Property Patent Agent, Biotechnology to join our Intellectual Property ("IP") Group in the New York office. Duties include working with clients to identify inventions, assisting attorneys in preparing and prosecuting patent applications, assisting attorneys in patent searching and patent analysis, and providing technical assistance to attorneys in IP litigation and IP transaction. Strong academic credentials, as well as outstanding organizational, interpersonal and writing skills, are required. Ideal candidates will have an advanced degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, immunology, or pharmacology. We are looking for candidates who can and want to assume immediate responsibility and who are willing to work as an integral part of a high performing and collaborative team. We offer competitive compensation and excellent benefits in a collegial working environment that provides training and mentorship. The anticipated salary range is $140,000 to $210,000. The actual base salary offered will be dependent upon the applicant's experience and qualifications, as well as other job-related factors, including but not limited to, relevant skills, education, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, geographic location.
