Job Summary: Support customer returns by managing Return Material Authorization (RMA) actions, troubleshooting equipment issues, and conducting company training. Serve as the onsite Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Cubic related issues and communicate results to Maintenance Manager and all other functional areas. This position typically works under general supervision and direction.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Program Manager and Production to initiate the RMA process
  • Inspect RMA materials and identify required/suggested repairs/upgrades to meet CUBIC quality standards
  • Track RMA progress through Operations/Test/Final QC and provide a weekly summary of all RMA's to customer and at weekly production meeting
  • Determine and assess trends in equipment failure and report finds to Quality Control and Engineering
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Operations to estimate cost and timing for repairs/upgrades
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Manager to define repair/upgrade agreements
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and conduct depot and field level repairs
  • Travel locally to customer and end user sites to support training and technical support issues
  • Identify training needs; Provide training courses and material for customer trainers and technicians on company products
  • Participate in weekly scheduled meetings and travel to company headquarters on a bi-monthly or quarterly basis
  • Identify and maintain customer spares and stock inventory of company products
  • Provide input, advice, and assistance during customer integration activities with company-related equipment
  • Assist in training Level 1 and 2 RMA Technicians
  • Work with Maintenance Manager to schedule and plan work activities and priorities
  • Coordinate with the Customer Support Representatives regarding field related concerns and troubleshooting tips
  • Create daily RMA schedules for all technicians.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Two year college degree, or equivalent, in Business or Engineering plus six years of related experience in a communications, manufacturing, or integration environment. SATCOM experience required.
  • Military experience preferred.
  • Some travel required (at least 25%).
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, work outdoors when necessary, and have the physical flexibility to kneel, squat, bend, or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must currently hold a valid Secret security clearance or have the ability to obtain one.
