Job Description:

Performs complex Electrical Engineering duties following designated standards and procedures. Provides technical guidance and mentorship. May supervise subordinate engineering staff and lead design efforts. This job requires strong analytical and technical abilities in order to meet and/or exceed high standards of accuracy and quality based on established systems and processes. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, reviews, and recommends circuit designs. Conceptualizes, develops and analyzes digital and analog electrical engineering designs, specifications, subsystems and test plans.
  • Leads team in prototype fabrication and troubleshooting of complex electrical circuits, especially digital circuits involving microprocessors, FPGAs, or third-party plug-in modules (e.g., embedded Cisco cards, COM Express modules, etc.).
  • Conducts Electrical work product reviews (schematics, layouts, drawings) to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Provides technical direction and guidance to Design Engineers, Technicians, or Design Support personnel assigned to work on a common project
  • Supports electrical engineering process improvements and the execution of them across the organization.
  • Performs engineering research. Researches design concepts and feasibility utilizing advanced technical theory and knowledge. Performs trade studies. Recommends improvements and implements solutions to problems.
  • Maintains liaison with subcontractor and vendor representatives. Evaluates vendor capabilities.
  • This is a hybrid position with 4 days on-site weekly, 9/80 schedule #LI-hybrid
Minimum Job Requirements:

Four-year college degree in electronic engineering or science discipline plus a minimum of five years experience or an applicable Master's of Science degree and three years of related experience. Must be a US citizen, eligible for security clearance.Experience in designing, developing and testing hardware with a focus on PCB design. Effective written and oral communication skills. Ability to use typical office automation products such as word processors and spreadsheets. Mental ability to perform analytical work. Ability to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks and work under deadlines. Good interpersonal skills. Strong commitment to efficiently achieve high quality results is required.

Cubic Pay Range:

$100,000 - $137,853 + benefits.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
